Miles & More Blue Card Business
The Blue Card Business is the lower-cost Miles & More card for qualifying self-employed and business applicants. It combines a higher everyday earning rate than the private Blue Card with mileage-expiry protection. Business eligibility and permitted use come before any bonus.

The regular terms at a glance
| Item | Regular term |
|---|---|
| Card fee | €5.50 per month (€66 per year) |
| Base earning | 1 award mile per €1 of eligible business spend |
| Mileage protection | Miles remain valid while an eligible Blue or Gold card is active |
| Card network | Mastercard, with Apple Pay and Google Pay support |
| Foreign-currency cost | 1.95% issuer fee; ATM-operator charges can still apply |
| Repayment | The application, price list and card conditions control; the product page does not establish a repayment period |
At €66 per year, the card has a clear break-even question: will qualifying business spend and useful card benefits produce more value than the fee? Card fees themselves do not earn miles.
What the business Blue is good for
- Eligible business spend: one mile per €1 is the strongest base rate in the Miles & More family described here, but only permitted business transactions belong on the card.
- Mileage protection: the active-card protection can keep a business Miles & More balance from expiring while you plan a redemption.
- Low recurring cost: €66 per year is €72 less than Gold Business, so Gold’s insurance and travel services need to justify the difference.
- Operational convenience: Mastercard acceptance, mobile wallets and the Miles & More app make it easier to separate business transactions and monitor posting.
The issuer also advertises partner benefits such as an Avis discount, a one-time Worldshop benefit for eligible new customers and a limited Wolt+ period. These are conditional benefits, not cash: they are not cash and are therefore excluded from the fee calculation.
Business eligibility is not automatic. The official product page is addressed to self-employed people and business users; the issuer decides whether your company, activity and residency qualify. Keep personal spending off the business card and retain the issuer’s terms.
Protecting miles after cancellation
While an eligible Blue or Gold card is active, Miles & More protects miles collected before and during the card period from the normal 36-month expiry. Once the card is cancelled, normal expiry rules return, with the issuer’s stated grace period. Keep a record of the card end date and the redemptions you still need to make.
When Blue Business is the better choice
Choose it when you have genuine qualifying business spend, want the €66 price point and value mileage protection without paying for Gold’s insurance package. It is especially easy to justify when the business already uses Mastercard-accepting suppliers and you can pay the balance in full.
When another card is safer
- You need travel insurance and business-trip assistance: compare Gold Business and read its insurance limits and exclusions.
- Your spending is personal: compare Blue Private instead of using a business product for personal purchases.
- Your business cannot meet the issuer’s eligibility rules: no bonus compensates for an ineligible application.
- You are relying on a temporary promotion: the minimum term, new-customer rule and early- cancellation clawback are listed in the offer table above.
Offer and regular terms
The regular card terms above remain valid after the campaign ends. The issuer’s complete price, application and card conditions also apply to any application.
